Wisconsin River

A wide, flat river in southwestern Wisconsin, the Wisconsin River offers beach camping on large sand bars, a fast current, great swimming, beautiful scenery and is perfect for groups with children or just for a relaxing weekend.


Driving time to the river
Milwaukee - 2.5 hrs.
Chicago - 4 hrs.
Madison - 1 hr.
Minneapolis - 5 hrs.


Black River

The Black River is a clean, winding, sand beach lined river. Located in west central Wisconsin, it boasts great swimming, gorgeous scenery and a moderate current. The Black river is a smaller cousin to the Wisconsin River.

Madison - 2.5 hrs.
Minneapolis - 3 hrs.


Flambeau River

The secluded Flambeau River is a fast water river in northwestern Wisconsin. Winding through pristine pine forests, it has many stretches of whitewater ranging from ripples to class III rapids. It is a very clean, rock bottomed river where wildlife is abundant.

Kickapoo River

The small, winding Kickapoo River is located in the driftless area of south western Wisconsin. It is a super river for short trips. It boasts refreshing swimming holes, beautiful bluffs and farmland. It makes a great combination trip with biking the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail.
